Jeff,

I think what we're talking about is that by diving with strokes he was
influenced to do stupid things.  I also read his book and his achievements
and contributions to diving are immense.  The thing to really think about is
it worth a life?  Rule number one doesn't just apply to the dive your on, it
applies to the dives you do and who you are with.  It applies to all the
people on the boat or all the people on the team if cave diving.

	On another note.
	I have read about Sheck and read his books.
	When you said he broke rule "number one", I am not sure what you
meant.
	It goes with out saying I think that the dive he was doing could
only have
	been solo.
	Though I know Bowden was there.
	But obviously could not help each other.
	For me, I don't know why anyone would want to punish his body as he
did.
	Although one can only marvel at his achievments.
