Oh great one, you did not reply, HMMMMMM Didn't you say your buddy is your life? Just joking as well. On another note. I have read about Sheck and read his books. When you said he broke rule "number one", I am not sure what you meant. It goes with out saying I think that the dive he was doing could only have been solo. Though I know Bowden was there.
