Some contributors to 'air taste/odor': 'Petrochem', 'exhaust' smell/taste - bad news. HC contamination either sucked in or coming from malfunctioning compressor. CO is main issue. Do not breathe - ppCO will increase w/ depth :-> Other chem smell/taste - was the compressor just serviced? New parts have chem coatings that impart a taste/odor. Those in the know run the compressor a while after service before filling tanks. Medical consequences - variable. Blanket advise - don't breathe it! 'Musty' taste/odor - worn moisture absorbtion - probably OK to breathe. Safe bubbles Esat Atikkan --- "Michael J.
