Everyone seems confused as to who and what I am. I am not a dive instructor of any kind, not in the dive business, not involved outside of this being a hobby for me. My real job is as the institutional fixed income guy in the Florida Region for a New York brokerage firm. I work out of New York and have an office in one of the branches here in Ft Lauderdale near my house. I also have another job as CFO of my father's company, which my brother runs the nuts and bolts of in addition to his own manufacturing company. These two jobs allow me the freedom to travel around and do what I like doing - one coincides with travelling Florida seeing the firm's accounts, the other is strictly finance and takes little time and is second nature to me. I am not involved in GUE, that is the domain of Jarrod Jablonski , who happens to be my dive partner and long time close friend. I am not involved in Halcyon - that is owned by my close friend Robert Carmichael. I have no input into how GUE trains anyone, and the only thing JJ and I even discuss in that regard is as it applies to the diving that he and I do together - he is the professional there, I have no clue about training. His thinking there is all I need to know about it. On the other hand, I run the Woodville Karst Plain Project as its Director and my job is dive planning and getting us access to private and Federal sites. I also do the propulsion, and I teach the upper level divers what I know about doing what they want to do, and I teach the rebreather divers how to do what we do. My only certification for that is actually by Tom Mount as a "Rebreather Supervisor". I am "certified" for nothing in diving outside of that and open water , and I have a cave card from Parker and DM from Alton. The nuts and bolts of the Project is run by Casey McKinlay, the Project Coordinator, and each function of the Project has its own Director, like Science ( Chris Werner ), etc. The "directors" make up the "board" of the WKPP, but they are all autonomous in their area of resposibility. This thing really runs itself, and the end result is that Jarrod and I become the exp divers most of the time and don't even know how it is run. So anyone who wants to complain about me or grouse about me and my attitude needs to divorce the nonsense from the reality. I am dispensing free advice based on some privledged knowledge and extreme exprerience, and you can use the delete key or interact with me, but take the petty whinning stuff and sick it. I don't want to hear any of it, and I am sick of wussies trying to attach me to everyone else and trying to fix me through everyone else _ I am who I am and that has nothing to do with anyone else or any other oganization. If you don't like me, too bad. Don't talk to me, but do not expect to ever be able to attack me and not get both barrels point blank. I did not get where I am by putting up with bullshit from anyone.
