Subject: RE: When to dive in Florida ---To all Tek list members who would like to try a DIR dive
Date: Fri, 24 Dec 1999 13:55:13 -0500
Hi JT,

Hi Dan
It is understood that this is a chance to see any parts of the DIR that we
do not use, in the same that we all like to dive and it is the fun that we
do it for. It is my hope that all egos be left at the dock and an exchange
of knowledge while having fun can be had.

Not to worry here. The trips will be fun for all. No egos.

If we have more than 6 divers on board , I would like to use a vessel Lic.
to handle the number and not the six pack.I'm sure that there is a boat you
use that can do this, if all the guys who have said want to come do come we
will have more than 6.

Abernethy has 4 boats. Depending on how many are coming, we can have any
size boat we want. Check the page of his I included in my e-mail last time.
My main point is that we would want to have whatever boat to ourselves, so
we don't have to worry about normal charter divers.

Have heard of the "hole in the wall" before, is this the place that the
large lobsters are found in?The guys would prefer one mix dive to a good
depth, it is a long trip for us to have to drive to do the run of the mill
stuff.

The hole in the wall --specifically the ledge its found in, has some good
sized lobsters, and few divers which stay down long enough here to do
anything about it.

The guys will mostly bring their own tanks, one set will have mix in it for
a pre planned depth, another set will have nitrox in it.

Have looked at it , I do have a place I like to stay at already down there
that is a fair deal to me, but we may stay at the Rutledge anyway.

Its totally up to you. I was just trying to make this as easy as possible
for out of town visitors.

I'll wait to here from you guys with details and then finalize boat bookings
etc.

Regards,
Dan
