For what it is worth - again w/o checking the standards (bad boy slap on wrist, continue), not all NAUI instructors subscribe to 'give the octopus' view of OOA. Reasons, other than the panic & OOA diver will grab the reg in your mouth approach is the issue of BC integrated secondary regs - try giving that to an OOA diver. As for NAUI CD running away - hate to C that happen as their motto has been Safety Through Education or some equivalent catchy phrase - running away from the xchange of ideas & education R not compatible.
