I am told these work OK in above water situations. UW - who knows??
would probably require one or two hands to adequately & securely position. 
the distal end could probably interface with a p-valve.

A truly enterprising female could obtain a supply of sterile disposable 
plastic urinary catheters and be instructed in their proper use by a 
physician or nurse. These would directly interface witha p-valve

this is all second hand, mind you......
