Virtual PC is very stable, fast and you have access to all of the features of your computer through it: printer, ports, modem & etc. It even makes Windows more useable and a better experience by utilizing some of the feature-set of the MAC, like instant boots and having the computer mount volumes automatically and reject disks automatically (you still have to call them up under Windoze, though). You can run any flavor of Windows or DOS. Even run DOS in a Windows 95/98 window. You can run Windows either full screen or in a window and switch seamlessly between platforms. You can cut-and-paste between platforms and share files between platforms. If you already have WinXX software, you can by the $50 version. If not, it will cost around $150. In the future, Chris Parrett will be releasing a MAC version of Abyss. Right now it's in development with the first BETA scheduled for release on Feb 15, 2000. Have a look at: http://www.islandspirits.com/abyss/ I think that Chris would probably upgrade MAC users to the MAC version for a reasonable price, but you'd have to ask him.
