George and others, If I were an ER doc I'd give you the OK to purge some- one with O2 too. But since I no longer work an ER (decided against it during my medical training), I'll still give you the OK to purge someone with O2. Let the medical ethics experts and the lawyers debate who is right after you've saved the victim's life. As for the paramedics who are on the other side of the fence on this, they should stick to their guide- lines and keep saving lives the way they are trained to. We owe them a great deal of gratitude.
