You're right you can't hurt a dead person. But I'm not talking about dealing with a dead person, I'm dealing with a dying person. Dying is the action of a living person in a precarious position. I've lost a couple of people over the past couple of years who were very close to me. I know for a fact one of these personal tragedies could have been prevented and the other I possibly could have affected, and to say I've lost sleep over them is an understatement. But if I had been directly responsible in some way, not necessarily as a cause but even as a contributing factor, I hate to even think about it. As living beings we live and we die; I will do what I can to help with the first part, but want no role in the second.
