Dr. B - on the biking there is no exaggeration - he and I have been
doing an 85-100 every Sunday, as well as several high speed 30-40 on
other days in addition to the standard swimming ,running and everything
else.

You would not believe how big fitness is in Palm Beach and Ft
Lauderdale. There are rides whenever you want to do them, and spinning
everywhere, multiple Masters Swimming groups, Road Runners, Bike Clubs,
the Hammerheads ( ocean swimming) etc all with coaching and excellent
facilities. Road Runners uses the track at Yankee Stadium, and Gold
Coast Masters uses the Hall of Fame Pool on Lauderdale Beach.

The exercise traffic is so heavy they have bike warnings everywhere,
signs with generators along the roads explaining the State laws about
running and cycling in the bike lanes ( which are everywhere), and there
are constant triatlehlons, duathelons, biathelons, running events, ocean
swim races, and Masters meets.

My wife is even in to it and my kids. She did her run at 5:00 this
morning so she would be done in time to go do a ride in the dark ( she
likes to ride in the dark for some reason). You can't even get into an
Ironman if you do not sign up in the first three days, and every event
down here is jammed. The only way I got into Key West next year's swim
around the island is that I train with the guy who runs it. Unbeliveable
what is happeneing out there.

In our group, this has always been the example.
