Looking at the actual extent of what needs to be covered in this, I
think it may take a little more time than I originally figured for me
to get this up.  I would just like to appeal to any newcomers or long
time lurkers on this list who feel too intimidated to post questions
publicly - send them to me and they will be addressed in the FAQ, no
flames.  As for format, I was thinking of starting with a complete
ground-up description of the gear, with a link beside each equipment
item to the verbose reasoning for each equipment decision.  The pages
would be linked with <next> and <back> buttons to go through the entire
process.  Any other suggestions or input here as to format would be
welcome.  As soon as the gear portion is done, I will make it live to
the net.  Subsequent additions will include photographs and diagrams of
the gear stuff, answers to FAQ's about gases and gas mixing,
decompression, proper gas management, dealing with emergencies, IWR,
and all of the questions that arise every year on this list.
