Kevin, I wouldn't suggest running a drysuit inflator around to the right. The purpose of crossing hoses behind your head whenever possible is to hear any gas flowing in the hose, to detect a flowing reg that you are not breathing. With the drysuit, you will know it if you get a stuck valve because your buoyancy will be increasing. Run the inflator from the left post under your arm to the inlet, and use as little hose as possible while still being able to move without straining it. With the argon bottle, the hose should reach from its normal position as far down the back tanks as possible, under the waist belt and up to the inflator. Again, use only the length you need. -Sean On Sun, 14 Nov 1999 23:58:28 EST, Kevin Harkins wrote: >List, > I have some questions regarding drysuit inflator hose lenghts... maybe >this should be incorporated into the faq some are talking about. > >1) When diving without an argon bottle and running the inflator hose off of >the left post so it crosses behind the head and comes around front to the >drysuit from the right, what is the standard length to use? > >2) When using an argon bottle mounted to the left side of the doubles and >running the inflator hose to the drysuit from the left what is the standard >length inflator hose to use? > >Thanks, >Kevin > >______________________________________________________ >Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com >-- >Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. >Send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'. > -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
