Subject: Scotering at depth was Re: Legalities of purging someone
Sean, you are right about the scootering at depth issue - much smarter
than swimming. I do it on most eveything, but in the case where I was
dropping down to look at a wreck beyond 300, I did not since I was not
planning on covering any ground, and did not want to risk my scooters.

Gavin says they will go a lot deeper, and obviously they have , but mine
are my cave diving "tools of the trade", and I bet my life on them when
I use them.

For somebody who has no such concerns about their scooters, it is the
only way to go deep on a wreck. JJ and the Britannic guys were willing
to bet those scooters for that job, and it payed off well. I had already
made a replacement for the one JJ used , just in case, but it was not
necesary, and I sold it instead to Andrew Geoorgitsis after the trip.

You are 100% correct on this point, however.
