Hi George - I did it - finally got rid of my console - Pressure gauge on left hip D ring with small piece of innertube and snap, compass on left wrist, timer on right. Works great !! My pressure gauge was easily accessable, easy to read , and is out of the way - simple , efficient. In addition it freed up my left hand since I no longer had to hold the console or bother clipping and un clipping it !! The water was 43deg; and at the end of a 60min dive I no problems reading it I was surprised at how much more comforatble this is - especially exiting in the surge on some slippery rocks..
