Bob Just where in the post did I give any indication of disrespect or lack of honour for the US, the US marines, or the military in general, or indeed to whoever or whatever it is that provides 'freedom'? I stated my acknowledgement that the birthday and the corps were important to many. However, my 'honour' is directed at more European centric things, and indeed, more UK centric, which I'll be glad to post on techdiver if you really want me to. What do you mean you're not interested - surely you must be, since you demand everyone be passionately supportive of the US centric equivalents. I did write that I honour and respect UK fallen, and indeed I now amplify that to all fallen and injured in all conflicts. Fighting for the politics and values of ones country is often admirable, although not always from all viewpoints. I simply suggested if we all publicized all the dates we personally hold reverent, there would be significant numbers of unnecessary and largely irrelevant posts. Did you actually read the post, anyway?. Don't worry, you're not alone if you didn't, many of your compatriots who bounded privately to attack me with some physically demanding and potentially biologically impossible suggestions certainly did not read it. It seems I really touched a raw nerve with some of you. Tut. Very touchy, some of you really need to cut down on the caffeine. Don't you know it's for spraying on keyboards, not actually drinking. Anyway, I won't be following any of these suggestions , you'll all be pleased to hear. Do you guys really do this stuff? It's certainly an alternative use for an EE canister light, but I'll stick to using mine for diving, thanks :-) Dave At 15:45 11/11/99 -0500, Bob Hines wrote: >Dave, > >Just because you don't want to honor those who provide your freedom dosn't >mean that we can't If our honor of those who sacrifced in the name of freedom >makes you upset "TOO FUCKING BAD" > >Bob Hines - Marine. > >____________________________________________________________________ >Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1 >-- >Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. >Send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
