Dave,

Its not caffeine. Does your computer keyboard have a delete key?

What you, and it would seem, a number of other Europeans don't grasp is very
simple:

For the last, what 3,000 years, *you* cant get along. In the last hundred
years, there have been *both* world wars on *your* turf. Not ours. You
people start wars "over there", and we get invited or forced to get
involved.

A good portion of these "conflicts" are born of the apathy that so many
reflected in their messages here and in private e-mail.
People who are "praying for peace" look the other way while things like the
Holocaust, Bosnia, Kosovo and Chechnya grow.
The whole time, *you* Europeans are telling *us* to butt out. Until the
situation is out of control, then *you* scream at *us* to do something. We
don't start the wars, in isn't on our land, we just fight, die, bring home
our dead and bury them. Its not "whatever or whoever."

We don't ask for a lot. We ask that you try and get along and respect simple
common human rights. Chechnya and Bosnia, Serbia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc
are fine examples of how well that is working, and how little help you need
from us. Truth be known, you have all been living free under the umbrella of
US protection via our nuclear stockpile. You think Stalin stopped because he
didn't want to control any more countries? Because his belly was full? He
stopped because when he looked over the fence, he saw not only Europeans,
but Americans and their nukes, and he realized what the price would be.
Freedom is not free.

I made a simple post, asking a moment of remembrance for those who fought
and died, and to note the 224th birthday of the USMC. I included a chant. It
is a chant used by shit scared 18 to 20 year old kids as they try to prepare
themselves
for a walk through Hell. Quite often, in the last century, the Hell they are
walking through is *yours*. No one, least of all the men who have to fight
it, glorifies or wants a war.

So, when *you* "Eurocentric" weenies pitch a bitch, because I dared to post,
*us* Americans kind of take offense (what a bunch of pricks!), and gather
the wagons. I guess we are just narrow minded that way.

The way we see it is this:
Ours fought and died "over there" so that I have the freedom to make the
post, and so that you,
(if you are really that low class, stupid, shortsighted, selfish,
irreverent, ungrateful and ignorant)
can bitch about what started out as a simple post.

*We* know it wont be long until *you* Europeans have reason to ask for our
help and blood. Again.
And we will be there. Again. To fight for your freedom and ours. Again. WTF
do you think would happen
if we closed the purse strings to all foreign aid? Pulled all our assets out
of Europe, and just let you sort it
out yourselves? Not a pretty picture.

So, S2, and show a *little* respect. It was *earned.*

While you are dreaming about world peace, remember that its a dream. Reality
is quite different.

Scott

BTW, anyone that would care to post the birthday of the Royal Marines, on
their day, will get a much
different response from *us* Americans, I guarantee it. *We* are that way.
