Its easy. I do what a lot of people say cant be done. I dive a drysuit, and
the attendant thick underwear necessary for diving in the PNW. Most people
diving this config put a QR in one or the other shoulder straps. I haven't
found it *necessary.* In certain instances, such as one of my good friends,
the movement of his shoulder is limited because of injuries sustained in a
motorcycle wreck. In his particular situation, a QR is *needed* Also, divers
that wear vulcanized suits say that the straps *don't* slide......

I pull up next to the boat, and inflate my BC fully, remove the weight
pouches from my ACB and toss them into the boat.
Then, after releasing DS inflator hose, and waist and crotch strap, and
other "percundis", I simply make a 'chicken wing." From the front, this
looks like you are saluting your right breast, hand flat against chest. Then
you simply stick your hand through *under* the strap, and as the strap
slides down toward your elbow, you roll to your right, and out of the rig,
then tie it off and let it flow. (If this bothers you, tie your rig off to
the boat before you get out of it). Then use your fins to power you over the
side into the boat.

If we are live boating out of the RIB, a moving roll in is always a blast.
To get out, we dump the ACB's in the boat, then the coxswain pulls on you at
the same time you fin like a blind fool to pull yourself up to straddle the
pontoon. Remove fins, roll your feet in, and either ride in with your BC
mounted, or let your bud help you get out of it.
