Whatever gives you the impression that those of us who lurk would
use bondage wings, ponys etc? Maybe we're just quieter
individuals(:-) ). We adopt a position of reading the lists,
discussing anything that seems sensible between ourselves adopting
what works and discarding what doesn't.
It doesn't take long watching a list to work out who posts sense and
who doesn't, and for a particular question who to ask to get a
sensible answer.
Although you could classify me as a lurker, I would never touch a
bondage wing ( of any make) having been involved in an incident with
one several years ago where a friend's failed to hold air after a
suit d/f got disconnected(by another diver on the same shot) sending
her to the bottom very fast, its very difficult to catch someone else
up once they've starting dropping uncontrollably, fortunately it was
at the beginning of a dive and the bottom was 'only' 35m and no harm was done.
As for ponys - I think I've got one in the garage somewhere still....
