Alton, I do not mind these guys being resentful , but when the "community" feels the need to lie about me or the Project it needs to be questioned. I have never said anything about anyone that is not true, or what I have said is my opinion. For Cuiper to get on here and say that I "left buddies when it got rough" is neither true nor an opinion. While this may seem logical in the mind of a Cuiper, we do not play that way. If it is too "tough" for me, I call it, and my buddies go out with me. Too "tough" for me means that the goals of the dive are unobtainable in light of the conditions, and that is usually determined in the first five minutes, or before we ever get in the water. This guy needs to give up the source of that one, or retract it. What is happening is that the cave "community" has stories from the old days of WKPP and Tallahassee diving prior to WKPP and attributes them all to me since I now run the Project. We had guys who used to run freeforalls like that, but they are neither diving now nor would this behavior be allowed by me, or by anyone in the WKPP. Since I have run the project, there have been no such stories to tell, and there are no such stories to tell about me. We also have a guy named "sutton" who has come on here and claimed that as a result of a "penetration" dive a WKPP diver is now "wearing diapers". This needs to be questioned. It is amazing that these gusy go to such lengths to try to dicredit the best track record in diving. What does that tell everyone? We shoot for safety , information, and improvement, setting records and learning facinating things in the meantime, sharing them and spending our own time and moeny doing, it, and the strokes spend full time fighting that.
