Joel, as you know, I am ALWAYS the one they are complaining about, and
as you point out, they ALWAYS get their asses kicked when it comes to
the diving information and logic.

A few years back, I accomodated the complainers by leaving out the style
they were complaining about. It is now apparent that the message is more
distasteful to them than the style, and that the resentments towards me
are stronger than ever now that I am more careful to make my case.

Your suggestion of new lists has been followed already. The original
Boat Monkee, Mark Weezel, started the "Wreckdiver" list, which should
satisfy most of the complainers. It is on Aquanaut, just like this one,
and I am not on it and am not allowed on it.

Then for the real "tekkies", there is the "Rebreather" list. This is a
dreamland of unrealistic stupidity unrivaled anywhere. It has all of the
very most polite people on it, and some of the biggest geeks ever. There
are sugggestions about diving on there so stupid that even the most hard
core personal preference liberal will be happy.I am banned from that
list permanently. None of the WKPP rebreather divers are on that list.

There is also the Compuserve Scuba Forum which has about ten sub forums
from medical to fetish and of course, I have been permantently banned
from evey last one of them. The level of politeness there is the
highest, in inverse proportion to the information level. I can tell you
that getting kicked off of there brought tears to my eyes - of laughter.

There are also the decompression list, which I am not on, the Cave
science list, which I am not on, the Houston Cavers list, which I am not
on, the Virginina Beach tec list ( not on ) and many, many others which I
am not on.

I am on "cavers", and I am on "WKPP", so the strokes need to avoid those
two lists where there are no rules.

However, I am the one and only person ever to get kicked off of
"techdiver", and even Tom Mount complained about that. They brought me
back by popular demand. The fact is that the message is what makes the
mooks look like mooks, and I think the mooks have proven that
themselves, especially this last round of idiots that showed up.

Joel, remember the days of fake email? I sent a fake to you of Rick
Sankey threatening to kick your ass. For those of you who do not know
these two, Sankey is a marathon runner type, and Markwell is a pretty
big boy who teaches karate for "kicks". Those were some funny times on
the lists, and these guys complain now? They never saw the real insanity
..
