The configuration I favor is twin Farber steel doubles with a Poseidon
ideal manifold (yes I know there is no such thing. We took Poseidon
dual outlet valves and machined them internally to make them flow
correctly and used Poseidon crossovers to make ideal manifolds),
Poseidon Cyklon 5000 with 5 foot hose on right outlet run round neck
for main breathing reg (Hogarth config), second Poseidon 5000 on
left manifold with 4 foot hose for second, low profile aluminum backplate
with webs (I rig mine with the Navy harness rather than the 2 inch webbing
as the chest strap keeps the weight off of my shoulders which have suffered
the insult of both being broken by my 5 point harness in an airplane
accident
some years ago), Viking surveyor drysuit, Trident rubber weight belt with
wire buckle, Durward ankle weights, Plana Avanti fins, Orca Edge computer
on SPG, backup Suunto computer on wrist with thin surgical tubing, mini
Aqua-Sun light rigged as described before, Q-light in bycycle tubing sheath
on harness, knife here and knife there, and cave reel on D-ring. That's it.
Looking at me from the front you would see a man wearing a drysuit and
some straps. I can swim 6 inches off bottom and not drag. I am no wider
or higher than my bottle profile.

What exactly about my rig do you think might have contributed to him losing
his grip on the anchor line and drowning?
