Okay, I've gotta call on this one. I was on every one of Karen Kozlowski's training dives (has it really already been 2 years? wow...Time flies!) In fact, come to think of it, I was either personally diving along side Karen and her instructors (Billy as lead, and Andy Sikes assisting) or I was support for every dive she did down here. I loaded the boat, drove the boat, mixed her gas, and watched it be analyzed every time. Any statement that she was at 240 on air is nothing but crap. If there was ever a course more safety conscious, I've not seen it. I even remember several dives on the Wilkes that I wanted badly to get in on, but were called due to heavy currents, rough seas, etc. Several more of her Wilkes dives were re-routed to the USS Curb (180 fsw max.) That's my two-bit's worth on the matter. Next time, let's keep the "I think that he said that she said that they thought that we did" stuff to a minimum. Is this a case of fact-checking gone awry, or just made up hoping no one really knew? -Case PS: Did my post about the girl going hypoxic on a Draeger Ray get thru, or did that one get eaten? Am I the only one that found Skin Diver's Scuba Trek to be a hugely cluster f*cked joke?
