I thought that a horizontal position during ascent and in particular for
deco stops was to ensure that the whole of your body remained at the same
pressure.  So for a deco stop at 5m your legs lungs and head all stay at 5m,
in an upright position there could be a meter difference between your
depthgauge and a part of your body - would this effect the off gasing?
