How is that? I read it somewhere quite recently and it sort of made sense to me. (If the lenses are designed to be put in and removed, then they might be more likely to come out on their own, compared to lenses that are not designed to come out of the mask for any reason.) >I'm one of the neanderthals who dives with prescription lenses in his mask. >Have done so since dive #1 five years ago. I've never had a lense "pop out". Well, I'm glad to hear that. I was not trying to suggest that this is a common occurrence! But it seems that [if] there is no particular reason why one should not wear one's contact lenses while diving, then the [admittedly remote] possibility of losing a lens from the mask would be another argument in favor of wearing contacts. > > And if you carry a backup mask, that would have to be a prescription mask, > > too. > >So? I was just pointing out the obvious. Maggie; -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. Send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'.
