Never heard the one about bubbles under the lenses. That's just down right
funny!

I've been diving with gas-permeable soft contact lenses for
a very
long time. The worst thing that can happen is you lose one
if your
mask floods. I've always found the reflex to close my eyes
in that
case is always faster than the flooding. I've also tried
opening
my eyes underwater without a mask. As long as I open them
just
very slightly, the lenses stay in place and I can see as
well as
		anyone underwater indefinitely.

Some people may tell you something about bubbles forming
under the
lenses during deco, but if that ever happened, you'd have
more
serious things to worry about than your contact lenses!
