My Explorer wings and standard Halcyon harness arrived with the single
tank adapter (I know it is NOT RIGHT to use an Explorer with anything
but doubles but...it works in water too cold for me to want the time OR
depth afforded by more backgas) and I noticed something strange about
the way the tank straps were threaded through the cam buckles. Basically
they didn't work as delivered - the cams didn't tighten and the tank
would not hold. I compared the looping with the cam on my Rec BC and
discovered that although the cams were basically the same in design, the
Halcyon routing was very different. And it didn't work. So I rethreaded
the cam and everything is fine. But I have to ask - Did I DIW by
rethreading the cam the rec way? Am I an accident waiting to happen? Or
was something amiss with the way the cams were threaded as delivered?
