I used my new DUI 300g thinsulate in cold water recently (44 F was the
coldest) and was quite comfortable. My buddies were mainly using Andy's
Undies and they liked that too. The DUI underwear is thinner than the
Dri-flex underwear I used to use, but it is made out of better material, so
it is warmer. (Dri-flex went out of business years ago.) I loaned my DUI
Plus 5 vest to a friend who needed a little more warmth, and that did the
trick for him. I didn't need the vest myself in the warmer than expected
conditions.

If you are getting cold now, remember that next to your skin you should only
wear garments that will wick away moisture. A cotton t-shirt or sweatshirt
will absorb moisture and keep it next to you, making you feel colder.
Polypropelene or Thinsulate will keep your skin dry, and keep you warm, even
if it gets damp. The humidity in a dry suit rises as soon as you put it on.
Moisture can be expected even if the suit does not leak.
