This public list as you point out is to deal with tech diving
issues,yet its often used to flame people not doing it dir style, nothing
gets said to these people.
you say * this means that you have no right, whatever, to put your
semantics, your ideas of what is right and wrong*, how do you figure that
one?, the dir
bunch can slag off equipment, and tell people how to do stuff, but I cant
have a say!!
In the *appropriate use policy*, it states "readers have also agreed
that the use of offensive language, insults or threats is not
appropriate on this list, NO MATTER HOW VALID YOUR POINT MAY BE",
perhaps you might have a word with the list owner about that as well then.
As for strike, he may have forgotten more than ive contemplated, I
wasn't rude , or insulting to him, all I did was ask for the names of
books on the dir subject.
For every post that is similar to yours, I get three, asking about
dir from people too scared to post in case they get flamed, I can't answer
them, because I know squat about the subject, so what do I tell them?
I joined this list to further my knowledge about tech diving, not to
read insults.
