In my own experience (of teaching and myself) this was a particularly
dangerous time.

I felt I knew a lot more than I really did and tended to get too blase.
The novelty and cautiousness of being in an unfamiliar environment had worn
off
and I was a bit too ignorant to know that I did not know everything.
