I may have missed a point here. I dive with a DIR config for UK ocean diving. c/w Steel Cylinders, drysuit, ally stages, EE Pro 14. I have weighted myself so that I could hold a 6m/20ft stop in the unlikely event that I had lost the stages and light with 50bar/750psi in my back cylinders. The wing ( or any other bouyancy device) then has to compensate for the weight of gas at the start of the dive and 4lb or so for the light. Is this wrong? i.e should I weight for neutrality with the stages and the light so that I can become at least 4lb positive by dumping equipment? r Paul -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
