Guys:
For my deco bottles I use small-diameter car innertubes that I buy at the
local tire store. I cut two rubber bands about 2" wide and then knot them
together to form a figure-8 shape. The knot tightens up the loops to make
them fit better on AL40s. Then I pull both loops around the bottle. The knot
between the two bands provides a good handle to grab the innertube with heavy
gloves and cold hands. If one of the bands happens to break there is an
automatic backup with the other band. I tried surgical tubing and it rolled
off to easy.
I'm now putting bolt snaps on my deco regs so that I can always clip the 2nd
stage back to the bottle regardless of what happens to the bands.
