Warm water.!?
This sunday we were diving Ellens reef and was green, then black
and definately cold (46 deg). It is a good idea to use a tab here too.

You can cut a ring of innertube so that it has a tab to grab. Out
here in So. Cal we don't really need the tab due to the fairly warm
water. I do know that diving back east you can barely grab (feel)
anything in that 40 something degree water.
