Hi all...sorry for all the cc's....that "reply all" button is just SO
convenient!

George-

What kind of problems do you have with innertube in salt water? I dive
heavily in salt water, and am well aware of how damaging the marine
environment can be. I've had no problems with properly fitting innertube
sections. I cut mine approx. 2 "thumb-widths" (I know....very precise,
technical measurement!) wide, with a VERY sharp Spyderco knife...between
each segment, I cut a small wedge so that the cuts stay as perpendicular
as possible to the inner and outer rim of the tube.

I've tried a few other things, and surgical tubing is definately out. I
like bungie, but just like the surgical tubing, it does have a tendancy
to "roll" along on the cylinder. Besides, a couple feet of good bungie,
and half a dozen tie wraps (shouldn't we be using cave line for this?
*GRIN*) needed to make one set, cost me about the same as a whole
innertube needed for many years worth of diving.

I'm curious as to what kind of problems you've had, as maybe you've run
into something that I've overlooked....?
