Okay, I've used the same motorcycle innertube several years in the Great
Lakes. Down here in South Florida it just doesn't seem to hold up. It could be
that my supply of rubber bands are getting old. However, if you bump the stage
on
a sharp object (Sharp objects abound in wrecks ie sharp metal, spiny oysters,
etc.) it easily puts a nick in the rubber band. Then when you pull the regulator
hose from under the rubber band it breaks.
I don't find rolling a problem with bungee cords also salt residue does not
build up under them. The last comment was for those of us who are at times too
lazy to rinse our tanks.
