One size fits all?

Let's start by saying I don't dive in caves! ... (yet)

No one is telling you you need to wear one size of
tank, drysuit or whatever. What people are suggesting
is a way to set up your gear that has been proven to
work and work well over many years. I myself have
begun the evelution towards DIR and you know what!
Each time I adopt more of the system I find out it is
better than what I was doing before. Take your
blinders off and try it! I think you'll find it's
cheaper better, more streamlined and simpler to use.

Most of the people I've seen who say it is not
practical don't want to change because they have to
much time, money, and energy invested in trying to
make a bad or sub-optimal configuration somewhat
workable. These are the people that spend $800.00 on
a butt mounted light and are determined to make it
work somehow! These are the people who were duped
into buying dual bladder bungee wings and insist on
making a go of them. These are the people who stuff
their hoses .. Etc. Etc.
