I usually carry only one reel for most all diving I do out here in CA, it pulls double duty as a wreck reel and ascent line deployer as required. Fortunately for me, I use it mostly for wreck laying. It's an stainless steel spool and frame wound with 250' of 1/8" sisal. It's backup (or second reel if required) is an anodized aluminum frame with a lexan spool. It's not my first choice, but it makes a decent backup. I keep the reel clipped off to the left side of the belt, opposite side of the light canister. When I have to blow a bag, I pull it out from behind, clip it onto the reel and line and, ppfffit! - deploy. -- T.MAY - LA SAT TECH-SCDC/GlobeCast North America-France Telecom/NEDist http://www.globecast.com or http://www.francetelecom.com = work http://pw2.netcom.com/~tleemay/scdc.html = play http://pw2.netcom.com/~tleemay/index.html = home -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
