I have been corresponding with Cathy and she is serious about wanting to DIR. She mispoke about her instructor a bit... He is against long hose for OW rec divers and will not teach giving away the primary of rec divers (though he admits doing that for his cave diving). That doesn't make what he says right, but it must be remembered that he is the person Cathy will have to deal with (only game in town). She is not looking for tech training but rather just is starting OW, she just was hoping to DIR. Lets support her efforts to find and try the right equipment.
