Well, does it really matter if it's being sold to, say, a recreational =
diver whose most challenging dives occur during the summer at resorts?

I mean, I realize it would be remiss to advertise, say, my old Zeagle =
Ranger as the be-all, end-all of technical solutions, but not only did I =
advertise it as a fine recreational BC, I also told buyers (on Ebay) =
that I was selling it because I was moving to a backplate and wings =
setup. They should feel free to draw any conclusions they want.

By that same token, there are contributors to this list who own or work =
in dive shops. Does that mean they should feel guilty if they sell a =
ScubaPro BC to a brand-new OW diver?

Rich L

It's really sad while we all pontificate on the DIR principals and the =
unsafe nature of any other system we consider it perfectly acceptable to =
dump your non DIR and plain potentially dangerous gear on someone else. =
And as soon as the gear is brought up you here a collective "STROKE" =
being shouted at the buyer. I guess it's the old story i made the =
mistake but i think you should help pay for it. It's very reminiscent of =
the television evangelist caught with his pants down around his ankles =
while a disclpe worships at his feet.=20
