It was successful in many ways. Everyone would have liked to accomplish more, but then that's always the case with diving projects. I didn't, but the team's exploration divers had a lot of fun adding some line in places other divers had missed, as you already know. On the 1st project I learned more about karst environments than anything else (being totally ignorant of the subject back in '87), but on this project learned more about people than anything else. I had a lot of fun too during the 3 months of the project. Shot some stills and vid, learned a lot and did a lot of new things. Made some excellent new friendships and spent time with old friends I love, respect, and admire a great deal. Saw both wondrous and very sad things and made many dives in one of the most amazing and beautiful places on the planet. Got access to two sinks I hadn't been in (one virgin but didn't go, one only dived a little bit over a decade ago and goes) and found another virgin cave system at a third location elsewhere in the WKP (still going last I heard). Opened the eyes of hundreds of park visitors to the vulnerability of our water resources while explaining the project, the equipment, and the procedures to them, and had a truly memorable and valuable time.
