A hobby of mine is reading up on dive history. I have read several references to hydrogen mixes going waaay back with theories of bacterial consumption of off gasses. Will try to find specific reference for you. I am surprised in your report below you did not make any mention of the various helo trips wukulla2 members made to various hospitals and chambers, with the resulting possible permanent damage to some of the participants, not to mention the tragic unneeded death of a noble laureate.
