Maggie,

remarkably, there are no private e-mails on this subject that I have had.
I'm surprised too.

I'm a caver and wreck diving for me is to use up leftover gas. The reason I
ask is that I see a lot of divers with a whole range of tools in hideous
configurations. I don't dive DIR but that doesn't mean to say that I don't
keep my equipment streamlined and simplistic (awaiting the contradictions).
It just makes me wonder what others do.

I see a lot of divers replace weight belts with tool belts but that seems
exceptionally risky. I've also seen divers keep long, thin tools (crowbars,
chisels, wrenches, etc) bungeed against the tanks which also seems risky
(how do you get it back in once you've used it?)

Interesting to see that brass ferrets are not confined to Britain.
