The applications you point out below seem somewhat nonsensical, but duct tape has several good uses in diving as well. For example, when travelling, I put a big duct tape "X" on all of my luggage so that no one will mistake my bags for their own at the airport. As well, I have an extra bulb encased in a bit of bubble wrap, duct taped to the inside of my light cannister.
