Red blood cells, for example, are deformed which hinders their passage through your capillaries including the ones in your lungs... the ones that allow you to decompress. 3. The first time you dive a deep site on trimix that you'd previously dove on air, you'll never want to go back to air again. Everything will be bright and colorful, and you'll remember more from that one trimix dive than you will have remembered from a dozen air dives. I'm sure there are other reasons I can't think of right now. There used to be a time where deep air was the only choice.
