Captain my captain..

Would you rather these "technical diver wanna-be's" go to some
half-baked instructor who can barely wake up before noon because he's
too hungover and get "certified" and taught some seriously dangerous
stuff (like "my air is my air" or "I am the most important diver" or
"it's ok to leave your buddy in an emergency" or "54m on air is
acceptable")? At least some people are trying to answer these questions
with correct answers.

This is the case with anything. I can go out and buy a formula 1 race
car, but chances are I won't take home the checkered flag at Indy. You
need to put the time in. The problem (and that Mike Rodriguez guy was a
great example of it) is that there are a bunch of misconceptions out
there.
