Captain my captain.. Would you rather these "technical diver wanna-be's" go to some half-baked instructor who can barely wake up before noon because he's too hungover and get "certified" and taught some seriously dangerous stuff (like "my air is my air" or "I am the most important diver" or "it's ok to leave your buddy in an emergency" or "54m on air is acceptable")? At least some people are trying to answer these questions with correct answers. > Gear just like these home made tables are part of a divers tools , if > a diver does not have the skill to began with there is not anyway to > configure his gear or kind of gear to make him a tech diver. What am I > saying is this- the gear does not make the diver , but the diver is the key > to the gear.Proper gear will surely enhance what is already there , but > will not make him a good diver. This is the case with anything. I can go out and buy a formula 1 race car, but chances are I won't take home the checkered flag at Indy. You need to put the time in. The problem (and that Mike Rodriguez guy was a great example of it) is that there are a bunch of misconceptions out there. > As I have said before You Can Not Learn to > Dive on this LIST , at Some Point You Must Get in the WATER Agreed 100%.
