And if my assumption here is correct repetition is a big key, not of the same profile necessarily, but of lots of dives. Also, I have a knack of being able to "feel" if I did "good deco" or "bad deco". Bad deco and all I want to do is veg out on the couch. Good deco and i am ready to dive again. Bad decos have helped learn how to do good decos, and I offer no guarantee they will work for anybody else. > > How would you approach 'shaving' shallow stops on a new dive > profile not to be a smartass, but you would have a hard time throwing a profile at me that I don't have a pretty good feel for, at least down to 300 feet. After that, it is a new ball game. As I have said before, I always start with a basic decom profile with 0 safety factor. I add the deep stuff and don't plan the shaving part until I get in the dive and see how it goes and how it feels. It really is more black art than science I am afraid. > > Thanks for your time > Regards Alan > > From: Jess Armantrout <armantrout@wo*.at*.ne*> > Date: 05 April 1999 00:39 > Subject: Re: Deep deco question > > > >I deco the same way all the time.
