In every other discipline or field of study I have ever been involved in, the participants treat each other with respect and courtesy, and they conduct themselves like adults. Only in the field of technical diving is the standard to use unsults and revile the participants of the discussion in order to get your point accross rather than to have open, frank dialoge. It's very unpleasant and it stifles communication. Just yesterday I was doing two technical dives where I had the opportunity to speak with some of the member of this list. Everyone one of them told me they read the list but are afraid to post so much as a question for fear of being ridiculed.
