Dear Pekka, There are two very interesting locator systems now on the market. One called "DIVELINK" is from Stone Electronics, 4218 Commerce circle, Victoria, BC, Canada V8Z 6N6 ; tel 604-479-4868, fax 604-479-5980. This is a wireless ultrasonic device, will transmit emergency signal, is actually a com system which could work as a nav. unti if the person on the boat knows where he/she is. Also, another com with emergency pinger ( and which also reguires full-face mask) is "BUDDY" by graseby Dynamics, Park Ave. Bushey, Watford, Herts, UK WD2 2BW ;tel 0923 228566; fax 0923 240285 These com units may perhaps be adapted to do what you want. There is another system, made in the US, which is an actual locator, which can keep track of several divers at once. I can't find the info I got from them but I'll keep looking. If the boat can find the divers, then perhaps it will help the divers find the boat. If there was a locator on their file perhaps I could find it in all my stuff. Someone else who attended the rebreather forum in Key West last spring might have the information closer at hand and help further. Regards, CB -- Christopher A.
