Subject: RE: Sinister modifications to DIR.

A while back when I was trying to learn about DIR, I asked almost the same
question about light on right and stages on left. From the list, I have
learned that in addition to other benefits (scooter, etc.), one of the main
reasons to have the light on the RHS is:

1) Light on RHS to hold long hose in place
2) Quick deployment of the long hose if no tank(s) on RHS

If you mirror the light and stages, you will compromise 2) since your hoses
are still coming from over your right shoulder.

Could the tank valve be configured so that the valve is pointing to your
left side, thus allowing you to turn the valve easier ?

Hope this helps,

Phi
