Nanci No they feel the same as if youre diving with normal booties which you would do with a wet suit in the same conditions as you would with dry suit. You can fit them better on standard size dry-suits (I Got XXL booties with a XL dry-suit - something about South African men's feet are abnormal). They are very comfortable and as you set the tightness of the boots with the laces you can cut youre feet some slack by having them loser. As you have tried them on you will know they lace up high above the arch of the foot and as such wouldnt fall off. I can highly recommend them vs the fixed sole.
